challenges.

as most of you know grammar is not a strong point of mine. the proof is the the pudding eh? might be laziness and it might be a mild form of adult add or dyslexia, but either way, no me gusta.

so, that being said, im going to write a book. yep, i said it. well ok it will probably start out as a really long essay, but im sick of some stuff and i want people to start to think differently about some things. not a self help book or crappy relevant published book. but simply my thoughts on the thoughts of self deprecation and masochism that christians often believe is orthodoxy. the thought that God wants us to be miserable or worn out and not good enough. i am realizing more and more that many young people and people stuck in their ways the freedom found in following your dreams for the cause of christ.

the last few months i have really seen the freedom of a life in submission to christ as well as the joy of manual labor in chasing what i believe is a greater calling to my life, HIS calling. i am happier in many ways now than i was doing full time ministry... and i pulled weeds all day today (not that ministry wasnt my calling, for a time, just saying that right now this is what i need to be doing, a prophet told me so, SO THERE!). its an odd realization to see life every day and not think, "i hope i dont screw it all up again." now i know many people KNOW this, at least in their heads. it may seems as though im making unfair assumptions about others, but too bad! its true and you know it. this world would have much less brokenness and the church would be much more effective if people we really living outside of the masochism the modern american church seems to breed. think the church could actually do its job if it stopped telling itself it was a screw up and that it had to work 9-5 in a job it hated and be miserable every morning?

im serious about this too. im gonna start writing. so pray for me.

oh and i go to the czech republic in 2 days, saturday, so pray for that and the kids, there is a list below this.... on the previous post.

  1. Sam I agree to a large degree of what you are saying. I too see many Christians content to live in their self proclaimed brokenness,..yet the Lord says that we don't have to live that way, and that He came to heal the sick and broken hearted and set the captives free. Yes there is power and freedom to be lived in through surrender and total submission to Christ...I too am experiencing that joy and freedom....
I want to encourage you to write about it!
    Love you, mom
