on things of negotiable importance

sometimes i feel like i am perpetually wasting time. not so much intentionally, it just happens. Like today, i came to a nice local coffee shop to get my fix, pay bills online, write some emails, and just relax because there is free internet. so i get here, read a little, then go on a whirlwind rabbit trail of youtube and music. for example, i have spent a bunch of time watching videos of flight of the conchords cause i want to buy the shows on dvd, but im poor. and last night, my roomate and i played mario golf till like 1 am. for no good reason at all. but yet these things make me happy. I am just sitting here laughing my head off with headphones in some random coffee shop.

so, thinking about this. i have come to the realization that i dont care. not that im lazy or anything, but there has to be things we can enjoy without spiritualizing everything. now rob bell would say that everything is spiritual, and on some level, sure. but i enjoy sitting and watching sports, or shooting nazi's on a WWII video game. i know it sounds harsh but video games are fun, so any of you who say they are rotting my brain, leave me alone. sure i could study more or read more, oh well. i just like em.

that being said, im gonna be working manual labor cleaning carpets. i decided to focus on school and try to make some money in manual labor so i can study just for school, not work and school. thanks for the continued prayers. they are appreciated. for sure.
