where does one start a devotional to lead up to easter? how do we get to the bunny? creation.

genesis 1.26 ; "Then God said, "Let us make man in our image..."

Who's "us?"

Some people fight over what this means, a simple plural pronoun used in the first person. I think it is the first reference to the triune nature of the God of the universe. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Son, Jesus, was there at creation alongside his father.

Today I thank God for the fact that he created me in his image.

John 1.1-2 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ²He was with God in the beginning."

Jesus HAS been around forever, and he always will be.

So at the beginning of this Lenten season lets think about who this man was, the first thing we know; HE IS GOD, he was always there, and always will be.
